Take a 45 km drive north of Kuantan along the coastline of the South China Sea, flecked with coconut trees, colorful fishing boats and picturesque villages. To experience the local way of life, stop at the Beserah Fishing Village and stand a chance of seeing a fishermen hauling in their catch to be processed as salted fish (anchovies). Proceed to a Malay village to see local women working on intricate handicrafts. On the way back, stop to see how brown palm sugar and vinegar are made.
