Day 1
Pick up at hotel and depart on a 4hr drive which takes you through the scencic lush mountain valleys along the Pan Borneo Highway to the Serubah Iban Longhouse on the Lemanak River.
Arrive at the Lemanak jetty and take a spectacular hour long boat ride upriver though weaving through mist and over-hanging jungle foliage.
Upon arrival at the longhouse you will be greated by the Serubah Iban natives as they serve you TUAK, a local rice wine and a traditional dance performance. Explore the longhouse and gain an insightinto the unique culture of the Serubah Iban natives. This long house is home to some 25 families - all living under one roof. Visit the Baruk (Headhouse) to see the trophy skulls of past head- hunters hanging from the rafters and antique chinese jars.
Depart for Serubah and continue your journey to the Hilton International Batang Ai Longhouse Resort. You will be served dinner and be entertained with a cultural performance.
Day 2
Breakfast at the resort. Return to Kuching and drop-off at the hotel.
